Christian Blümelhuber is also a scientist of international renown. Since 2007, he has held the INBEV-BAILLET-LATOUR chair for Euromarketing at the Free University of Brussels. Prior to this, he was Associate Director of the Center on Global Brand Leadership at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich. This is an international community initiative by universities of global renown, which explores scientific and practical issues surrounding brand management.
After completing his business studies at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Christian Blümelhuber became a scientific assistant and associate at its Marketing Institute. He was subsequently appointed deputy head of the institute and led the Brand Management and Service Management research teams.
