"90° North - 100% Commitment"
A dream come through - on April 12, 2017 at 6.45pm, Evelyne Binsack reached the North Pole. After 105 days in the snow and ice, the Expedition turned into a success story. Evelyne Binsack - Eiger Live, the South Pole, the North Pole and the Mount Everest. A life for the Pole’s.
From now on, Evelyne is available for speeches and talkes. She speaks about motivation, bringing something to an end and not giving up. Bookable via Premium Speakers.
Evelyne is a certified Swiss Mountain Guide, Certified Ski Instructor, and licensed helicopter pilot based out of Interlaken, Switzerland. She is an accomplished technical climber, her favorite accomplishment being her 3 climbs of the North Face of the Eiger. One in Winter, where she was the star of a film documenting her ascent. Other mountain experience include an expedition to the Karakorum/Pakistan to climb a 6000M peak, Fitz-Roy in Patagonia in 1996, and various technical climbs in the French and Swiss Alps.
Evelyne is well known for her technical rock climbing in Switzerland, and after returning from Everest, her nation´s inhabitants voted her the 4th MOST POPULAR SWISS PERSON Of course, as Evelyne says, "mine is a country of people who love the mountains." Everest was Evelyne´s first time to high altitude over 8000m (she had climbed Aconcagua previously), but according to her teammates (Ellen Miller) she climbed brilliantly on summit day, for the most part climbing by herself, via Everest´s North East Ridge. She also exhibited strength by returning all the way back down to ABC after reaching the summit.
These days, Evelyne is busy with her guiding, she is trying to fly as much as she can (her dream is to be able to buy her own helicopter one day) and she is on tour with her multi-media story of Everest. She is planning more big adventures for the future - a woman to watch in the next few years.
